Rachel graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelors of Arts with a double major in political science and history. She has over nine years experience in working within the public and private sectors. Rachel's vast professional experience includes the analysis and implementation of federal, provincial and organizational regulations, policies, and leading recommendations to support informed decision making processes.
She has held critical community positions at Hatch, MNP and the Canada Energy Regulator.
Rachel thrives in building foundational equity and inclusion committees. During her seven-year federal public service career, she was a founding member and later the Co-Chair of the Indigenous Employee Circle at the Canada Energy Regulator (CER), she assisted the organization in aligning with the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. She was also a founding member of the CER’s Diversity and Inclusion initiative.
