Victoria is a graduate of Mount Royal University’s Bisset School of Business specializing in Management. She has fifteen years of experience in analytical roles within the private and public sectors. She is a trained engagement specialist, with extensive experience in working collaboratively with internal and external partners, Indigenous advisory committees, rights holders and stakeholders at all levels.
A proud citizen of Otipemisiwak Métis Government (formerly the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3), Victoria grew up in Treaty 6 territory and is from the Berthelette, LeClair and Roussin lineages with scrip, of the Red River Métis Settlement in Treaty 1, Manitoba. She has navigated professional and social environments in 18 countries and counting. With this lived experience, she is a lifelong learner in allyship, anti-racism and cross-cultural skill building. She honors her mixed ancestry from Métis-Anishinaabe, Polish immigrant and Scottish settler backgrounds, and is driven to advance Truth and Reconciliation into meaningful action for the prosperity of future generations.
During her time in the federal public service, she became an award-winning leader in diversity and inclusion, with strong expertise in Reconciliation-driven policies, programs, and guidance. Victoria currently works as a Senior Advisor furthering her passion for building bridges, opening doors and elevating Indigenous inclusion at the federal policy tables. She enjoys contributing her time and experience to support Indigenous entrepreneurs and artists in the community.
